Whittier homes for sale

The Whittier neighborhood in Minneapolis is a diverse neighborhood with a variety of markets, restaurants and cafes. Nicollet Avenue is one of the main thoroughfares in Whittier and it is nicknamed “Eat Street” because of the number of restaurants and other food-related facilities found in this area. While Whittier is officially a part the Powderhorn community, Interstate 35W separates it from that area. Whittier is typically associated with the adjacent neighborhoods around it, including Stevens Square, the Calhoun-Isles community and Lowry Hill East. There are several features throughout the Whittier neighborhood that residents enjoy. For one thing, the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, located at 2400 3rd Avenue South, is one of the premier art museums in Minneapolis. It includes about 8 acres on the land that used to be Morrison Park. The museum has free admission for the most part and you can take photographs of the collections for personal use. Also located in the Whittier Minneapolis neighborhood are the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and the Children’s Theatre Company.
